The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia November 2015 Manufacturing Business Outlook Survey Indicated Slightly Positive General Activity

Manufacturing conditions in the region showed slight improvement this month, according to firms responding to the Survey. The indicator for general activity was slightly positive this month, following two months in negative territory.”

Conference Board Leading Economic Index (LEI)

The Conference Board Leading Economic Index (LEI) for the US increased 0.6 percent in October following a 0.1 percent decline in both August and September.

The LEI rose sharply in October with the yield spread, stock prices and building permits driving the increase. Despite lackluster third quarter growth, the economic outlook now appears to be improving. While the US LEI’s six-month growth rate has moderated, the US economy remains on track for continued expansion heading into 2016.”

The November 2015 Empire State Manufacturing Survey

It indicated that business activity declined for the fourth consecutive month for New York manufacturers.

Here’s a twist:

Manufacturing growth has been trailing broader economic growth throughout this cycle. Having said that, it bears noting that no other sector is more vulnerable to a confluence of factors that hit factories hard: a strong US dollar, weaker global growth and a major drop in oil and commodity prices.”

In the face of these headwinds, American manufacturing has proven remarkably resilient. As a case in point, the 0.4 percent increase in October manufacturing production more than makes up for the two back-to-back monthly declines and puts the level of factory output at a new high for the economic cycle.

I don’t know where they get or how they arrive at these numbers. What I do know is that manufacturing which uses steel bar for production is suffering considerably, because of those factors cited above. Sunny days are ahead…

US Raw Steel Production

US raw steel production dropped 1.1 percent last week from the previous week as mills operated at an ACUR of 67 percent. In the corresponding week last year mills operated at an ACUR of 77.2 percent. Thus far this year mills have produced approx. 78,000,000 tons at an ACUR of 72 percent, down from the approx. 85,000,000 tons produced in the like period last year at an ACUR of 77.8 percent.

This will make your day:

House Republicans recently declared that the people’s representatives will be working an average of only two days per week next year. The House will be in session just 111 days in 2016. This means the chamber will be closed more weekdays than open and many of the 111 are partial days. That’s upward of 30 weeks of paid vacation for all 435 members of the House…

Worse, American taxpayers are subsidizing members of Congress so that they can take more time off. Lawmakers have have awarded themselves essentially unlimited travel budgets so they can spend more time at home. It began with good intentions years ago: Members of Congress, out of a desire to be in touch with their constituents, made sure they could travel home to their districts as often as they wished. But this has contributed to a culture in which lawmakers fly to Washington on Tuesday morning and fly out Thursday evening when in session…And how has being closer to their constituencies worked out for them? Job approval of Congress stands at 13% in polls, near historical lows.”

“ It’s a great irony, really, that by every measurement it looks as if Congress is more out of touch with constituents than ever before, “ said Vin Weber, lobbyist and former congressman from Minnesota. “And yet they’ve been back with their constituents more than they’ve ever been.”

And we pay for this new parochialism in many ways: free parking spaces for lawmakers at Reagan National Airport, discounted government rates for lawmakers, the privilege of booking themselves on multiple flights while regular fliers get bumped.” Ad nauseum. 2015 Salary: $174,000.00 per year plus benefits (which are astronomical)

It’s a joke, these clowns are not meeting with constituents when they go home, they lie on their fat asses and spend time with family and friends. If they were actually DOING something worthwhile, their ratings wouldn’t be floating around the toilet with the rest of the nasty turds.

Boko Haram has been named more of a threat than ISIS

This news came out on Wednesday along with a report that they had just murdered some 30 people in Nigeria. It’s all too much…

Friday 13th in France

Terrorists struck several places across Paris simultaneously, killing 129 people and wounding hundreds of others. France has executed air strikes on Raqqa, an ISIS stronghold and yet our president, earlier on the same day of the attack, said “ISIS is contained…” my ass

Does anyone (aside from the Obama administration) doubt that we in the free world are at war with radical Islam?

Saint-Denis Raid

A woman blew herself up at the start of a dawn raid on an apartment in the northern Paris suburb of Saint-Denis targeting suspects linked to Friday’s massacre in Paris. The woman killed herself after first unloading an AK-47. Another man was killed, three police officers were injured.”

This is why you CANNOT allow Muslim women and children a pass on entering the United States. Anyone; man, woman or child, who has been infected with the jihadist mentality is a threat to the people of this country. Innocence in women and children of this belief will wrap themselves in explosives or fire a weapon just as readily as a man will. Ask the men and women who have served in the middle east.

The French succeeded in in blowing up the waste of skin, Abaaoud, who masterminded the massacre in France last week. Wish they would have skinned him alive and left him outside for the crows to eat. Piece of garbage. Obama called the massacre a “set-back” after earlier saying ISIS has been “contained”…the bombs and guns went off mere hours later. I am sorry, but our president has his head so far up his rectum that he can’t think straight.

Syrian Refugees

As far as allowing Syrian refugees into this country, most citizens want a moratorium on this debacle pending a strict program of vetting people before they are allowed in. It is not unreasonable and is not meant to refute our standing as a compassionate nation. It is the prudent thing to do in order to protect the American people. Of course the president says “it’s not American.” If he would pull his head out of his ass long enough to take a fresh breath, he might see that.

The House is expected to easily pass legislation Thursday that would freeze and overhaul the process used to vet the refugees. The measure’s prospects in the Senate are unclear, but the White House threatened a Wednesday to veto any bill, saying it would add unnecessary hurdles to an already-rigorous screening process.”

WSJ

Well if that ain’t a load of crap! Mr. James Comey, Obama’s director of the FBI, said this week that we do not possess the data available to properly vet the refugees. Once again, his head in the clouds, political spin of complete nonsense. Our president is clueless. We have veterans sleeping in the streets and countless others needing care but we are expected to open our arms to thousands upon thousands of refugees, most of whom are Muslim, which likely means there would be a radical or two somewhere in the mix.

The president says we conservatives are “afraid of widows and 3 year old orphans.” Does he not know it was a woman who blew herself up with an explosives belt wrapped around her ass last week? What are the chances there are those bent on destruction coming in with the crowds? “…fundamentally transform America.” He has done the job and it will take years to reverse the damage.

A few of the terror attacks this week

129 dead, 300+ wounded in Paris-ISIS
At least 5 dead, including an American tourist, in the West Bank-nut
27 dead in attack on hotel in Mali (west Africa)-Al Qaeda
34 dead 80 wounded from a bombing in Nigeria-boko haram
15 dead 123 injured also in Nigeria, 2 girls 11 & 18 detonated themselves-boko haram
1 dead-stabbing in Marseille, France – ISIS

We are not at war with radical Islam. Right…

The Democratic presidential debates were held Saturday night at 9pm. Did anyone watch them? I don’t think so. The attempts by the left to brush their crap under the rug are a telling sign of things to come.

Have a great weekend…. God bless America!

Buy American made products whenever you can, it’s good for you, good for your friends and neighbors and good for our country.
If you are hiring…try to hire a veteran…. they are loyal, disciplined, hardworking…and they deserve our support.

Remember these tidbits as the election cycle grinds on:

  • Fast & Furious-Americans killed by guns supplied to the drug cartels…by the Department of Justice-Eric Holder presiding. The president was clueless. No one held accountable
  • Benghazi: Four Americans killed in an assault described as the result of a viral video. This was proved to be a false narrative. This was in fact, a planned act of terror. The president was clueless. No one even knows where he was as this went down. No one held accountable
  • “At this point, what difference does it make?” Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State
  • The IRS targeting of conservative groups and individuals. No one held accountable, Lois Lerner is on paid vacation and has refused to testify. The president was clueless. No one held accountable
  • Hillary using a private server for correspondence during her term as Secretary of State against the orders of the president. She thought “it would be more convenient…” Though the records were due when she left office, they were not submitted, subpoenas were issued, which she ignored for two years. Finally, she released 30,000 of some 60,000 alleged emails then she deleted the rest of the emails and will NOT turn over the server for investigation.
