7.1 million sign-ups to the Unaffordable Health Care Exchanges. How many have paid? How many of the young (who must carry the burden) have signed up? How many of the millions who DID NOT have coverage have signed up? Can you even believe the numbers the government feeds you?

The Chicago Business Barometer

… edged down 3.9 points in March, the lowest level since August. Led by a decline in New Orders and a sharp fall in employment.

Business activity slowed with the Barometer averaging 58.4 in Q1, down from a 2 ½ year high of 63.3 in Q4 2013. It remains well above the 50 level which points to continued recovery of the US economy in a quarter that was plagued by bad weather which almost certainly had some negative impact on the results.

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM)

The current report on business released Tuesday for the month of March reports:

Economic activity in the manufacturing sector expanded in March for the 10th consecutive month and the overall economy grew for the 58th consecutive month say the nation’s supply executives.” Issued by Bradley J. Holcomb, CPSM, CPSD, chair of the ISM. “ The March PMI registered 53.7 percent an increase of 0.5 percentage point from February’s reading of 53.2 percent, indicating expansion in manufacturing for the 10th consecutive month.”

Report on Manufacturers’ Shipments, Inventories and Orders for February 2014:

New orders for manufactured durable goods in February, up following two consecutive monthly decreases, increased 2.2 percent.
Shipments of manufactured durable goods in February, up following two consecutive monthly decreases, increased 0.8 percent.
Inventories of manufactured durable goods in February, up ten of the last eleven months, increased 0.8 percent.

(although these things go on knowingly between countries all the time, the fact that our president denies knowledge of this is just another sign of his incompetence as the leader of the most powerful country on the planet).
