Oil Prices Entered Bear Market Territory

In Thursday’s trading, oil prices entered bear market territory, closing down at $60.67/barrel amid worries over rising US crude inventories and slowing global demand. West Texas Intermediate crude is now down 21% from its Oct. 3 peak. WSJ

US Raw Steel Production Reached a 4+ Year High

US raw steel production rose 1% last week to a 4+ year high of 81.8% of capacity utilization. In the corresponding week last year mills operated at an ACUR of 73.2%. Thus far this year mills have produced prox 80,000,000 tons compared to the prox 76,000,000 tons produced in the like period last year.

US Drill Rigs Running Slipped Last Week

The number of drill rigs running in the US slipped by one last week, to 1,067. Led by Texas, down by four. Meanwhile, Canadian drilling dropped by two rigs, to 198.

Finally, the mid-term elections are over.

There was no blue wave, nor was there a red wave. The Democrats have re-taken a majority in the House of Representatives after 8 years, Conservatives have added to their majority in the Senate. Question is, are they going to spend the next two years investigating Donald Trump, attempting to see his tax returns or whatever other nonsense waste of time and money they can think of to resist and obstruct OR, are they going to roll up their sleeves and work together to legislate good things for the American people? I am hopeful they will do the latter. I am always hopeful that a sense of duty and responsibility to those who have elected you will prevail. Only time will tell.

Mocking a Veteran 

So, did you happen to see the idiots on Saturday Night Live mocking a United States military veteran? A man who lost his eye in combat? Why? So that these useless pieces of dog crap have the freedom to say what they please? That is disgusting behavior and totally unbecoming of an American. How dare they spew their vile dog shit like that, at veteran no less. And of course, there was no condemnation from the left at all. This kind of crap really pisses me off. That our young men and women sacrifice so much for our freedom and then are disrespected like this? Shame and damnation to those who do this.

I will track these campaign promises and will check them off as each is accomplished adding those I have missed as they become apparent. This is quite an agenda and will be difficult to achieve all in one term, but I believe the American people are behind him and know these things need to be done. Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….
