Overall Economy Grew for 84th Consecutive Month

The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) released its May Manufacturing Report on Business and reports economic activity in the manufacturing sector expanded in May for the third consecutive month while the overall economy grew for 84th consecutive month. The report was issued 7/1/16 by Bradley J. Holcomb, CPSM, CPSD, chair of the Institute for Supply Management Manufacturing Business Survey Committee.

The May PMI registered 51.3 percent, an increase of 0.5 percentage point from the April reading of 50.8 percent.

Texas Manufacturing Outlook Survey for June Reports Decline

The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas released its Texas Manufacturing Outlook Survey for the month of June and reports factory activity declined again in the month.

2016 First Quarter GDP Increased

The third and final estimate of first quarter GDP was released on Tuesday:

The value of goods and services produced by the nation’s economy less the value of the goods and services used up in production, adjusted for price changes, increased at an annual rate of 1.1 percent in the first quarter of 2016”

… according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA). Of course, Hillary and Obama will continue to tell you how good things are economically. For her part, she will tell you that a continuation of Obama’s winning economic policies will guide her administration should she get elected president. That’s what we want, four or eight more years of unrestrained spending, regulation on top of regulation, higher taxes. NOT

Fifth District Survey of Manufacturing Activity Reports Weakness in June

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond released its Fifth District Survey of Manufacturing Activity and reports activity weakened in June. New orders and shipments declined while backlogs decreased further compared to last month.

US Raw Steel Production Rose Last Week

US raw steel production rose 0.4 percent last week as mills operated at an ACUR of 75.1 percent. In the corresponding week last year mills operated at an ACUR of 74.4 percent. Thus far this year mills have produced prox 44,000,000 tons at an ACUR of 72.4 percent compared to the prox 44,300,000 tons produced in the like period last year.

Despite MEI Decrease, Midwest Economic Growth is Somewhat Higher than National Economy Growth Rate

The Midwest Economy Index (MEI) decreased to +0.12 in May from +0.28 in April. The relative MEI declined to +0.53 in May from +0.71 in April. May’s value for the relative MEI indicates that Midwest economic growth somewhat higher than what would typically be suggested by the growth rate of the national economy.

This index is constructed to have an average value of zero and a standard deviation of one. Since Midwest economic activity tends toward trend growth rate over time, a positive index reading corresponds to growth in Midwest economic activity above trend while a negative reading corresponds to growth below trend.

According to the Turkish government, Turkey was hit by what appears to be Islamic state suicide bombers on Tuesday at the Ataturk Airport near Istanbul. At this time, 40 or so are reported dead with over 200 wounded.

Wild Bill is at it again:

Bill Clinton initiated the private visit with Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Phoenix Airport this week….the former president was in his vehicle heading to his plane (nice perk) when he “heard” through aides that Mrs. Lynch and her staff were on the ground nearby. He said he wanted to stop and say hello….”

That is a load of crap if I ever heard one. She should recuse herself from the Clinton investigations.

A former president of the United Nations General Assembly, due to testify against Bill Clinton in a conspiracy of bribery in which $1 million was funneled to the DNC and the Clinton-Gore ticket in the 90’s, has been found dead of asphyxia as a barbell fell on his neck. Strange how people seem to die when they are about to testify against the Clintons. (Vince Foster comes to mind)

Ever hear of Rajiv K. Fernando?

He is a one-time Chicago securities trader who in July of 2011 somehow found himself sitting in on the International Security Advisory Board (ISAB), with the ability to access the nation’s most sensitive intelligence.

Mr. Fernando had no background that would have qualified him to sit on the ISAB…that Mr. Fernando didn’t belong was apparent. “We had no idea who he was,” a board member told ABC news. So how exactly did he get there? We now know thanks to Citizens United (a watchdog group) and ABC News.

In August 2011 ABC News requested a copy of Fernando’s resume from the State Department, seeking answers as to “how he got onto the board when compared to the rest of the esteemed list of members.”

The response came only a few hours later in an email from Wade Boese, chief of staff for an undersecretary of state:

The true answer is simply that S staff (Cheryl Mills) added him,” Mr. Boese wrote. “Raj was not on the list sent to S; he was added at their insistence.”

S, in this situation, stands for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Ms. Mills was her chief of staff. Why would Hillary want to entrust the nation’s secrets to a man with no intelligence experience?

Mr. Fernando, before his plum appointment, had given between $100,000 and $250,000 to the William J. Clinton Foundation. He had been a top bundler for Mrs. Clinton in her 2008 presidential run and later a major Obama fundraiser. He gave tens of thousands more to a political group that helped Hillary pay off her 2008 campaign debt….the State Department knew it had a problem on its hands.

We must protect the Secretary’s and Under Secretary’s name,” the press aide warned. Damage control came in the form of Mr. Fernando’s quick resignation, on the grounds of “additional time needed to devote to his business.”

Uh huh. THIS IS HOW HILLARY CLINTON OPERATES. The politics of personal profit. Give money to the Clinton Foundation; get special favors.

This is also why Hillary kept control over her private email server. The Citizens United release shows that messages about ISAB appointments were forwarded to Mrs. Clinton’s personal account-where they fell into a black hole. The State Department issued a statement defending the Fernando appointment on grounds that the ISAB charter calls for “a balance of backgrounds and points of view” – thereby giving the Clinton campaign cover.

As for Mr. Fernando, a message left on a cell phone number that appeared to belong to him was not returned. But he’s still bundling-this time for Mrs. Clinton’s 2016 bid. A peek at the Clinton Foundation website shows he continued to donate and is now listed as having given between $1million and $5million.”

This type of behavior, consistently exhibited by both Bill and Hillary Clinton are only a few of the reasons why she should not even be considered for the office of president of the United States. They are both law breakers, power hungry crooks and thieves. It boggles the mind that they continue to get caught in nefarious activity and yet, are never held accountable. Unbelievable

“Of the people, by the people and for the people”

Have a great Fourth of July weekend and remember that this country escaped from the tyrannical rule of England in order to create a country of Free men, where all are created Equal, men and women seeking “ life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” led by a government “of the people, by the people and for the people.”

We are in a precarious position now, as we are led by a bunch of self-serving crooks. “Of the people, by the people and for the people” means nothing to them. To our politicians it is “Of me, by me and for me.” We cannot sit back and lose what has been gained for us. We must fight for it, preserve it. Not only for us, but our children, our grandchildren and those who will follow.

The United States is the envy of the world and she must remain so, for in the history of mankind only once have men had the freedom to choose, to do, to accomplish by their own efforts, to live as free men. It’s only been 236 years…let this not be squandered away by greedy leaders.

• Hillary using a private server for correspondence during her term as Secretary of State against the orders of the president. She thought “it would be more convenient…” Though the records were due when she left office, they were not submitted, subpoenas were issued, which she ignored for two years. Finally, she released 30,000 of some 60,000 alleged emails then she deleted the rest of the emails and will NOT turn over the server for investigation.
