US Raw Steel Production ACUR 81.5 Percent Last Week
US raw steel production ACUR of 81.5% produced 1,897,000 tons in the week ending August 3, 2019. Thus far this year mills have produced prox 57,945,000 tons compared to the prox 55,279,000 tons produced in the like period last year.
US Drill Rigs Running Down From Previous Week
There were 942 drill rigs running in the US last week, down 4 from the previous week. Canadian drilling rose by 10 rigs to 137.

Political Chicanery
I would like someone, anyone, to show me a quote, a video or whatever, of our president saying anything remotely racist or encouraging gun violence or being supportive of white supremacists or white nationalism. Not a sentence taken out of a speech which could be construed as such, but an actual statement in support of any of these things. I do not believe it exists and I am waiting to see if someone can prove me wrong. If I am correct, from where and how do all these charges flow? Every other word out of a liberal is: “he’s racist” or “he’s a white supremacist” or “he’s a white nationalist.” This is all political chicanery, it is bullshit and anti-American rhetoric, supported and encouraged by the liberal media and the liberal politicians in their unquenchable quest for power. Totally wrong.

Excerpts from an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal 8/6/19. Written by Mark P. Mills, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a partner in Cottonwood Venture Partners, author of the recent report ‘The New Energy Economy’: An Exercise in Magical Thinking.”
Democrats dream of powering society entirely with wind and solar farms combined with massive batteries. Realizing this would require the biggest expansion in mining the world has seen and would produce huge quantities of waste.
“Renewable energy” is a misnomer. Wind and solar machines and batteries are built from non-renewable materials. And they wear out. Old equipment must be decommissioned, generating millions of tons of waste. The International Renewable Energy Agency calculates that solar goals for 2050 consistent with the Parsi Accords will result in old panel disposal constituting more than double the tonnage of all today’s global plastic waste. Consider some other sobering numbers:
A single electric car battery weighs about 1,000 pounds. Fabricating one requires digging up, moving and processing more than 500,000 pounds of raw materials somewhere on the planet. (Do you get that? 1 battery!) The alternative? Use gasoline and extract one-tenth as much total tonnage to deliver the same number of vehicle miles over the battery’s seven-year life.
When electricity comes from wind or solar machines, every unit of energy produced, or mile traveled, requires far more materials and land than fossil fuels. That physical reality is literally visible. A wind or solar farm stretching to the horizon can be replaced by a handful of gas-fired turbines, each no bigger than a tractor-trailer. Building one wind turbine requires 900 tons of steel, 2500 tons of concrete and 45 tons of non-recyclable plastic. Solar power requires even more cement, steel and glass, not to mention other metals.”
The article continues, but I think you get the idea. Green energy is a complete waste of resources, time and money.

I will track these campaign promises and will check them off as each is accomplished adding those I have missed as they become apparent. This is quite an agenda and will be difficult to achieve all in one term, but I believe the American people are behind him and know these things need to be done. Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….
