Small Business Optimism Index ROSE in May

The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index ROSE 3.5 points to 94.4 in May. As expected, it remains below its level prior to covid, but the forward-looking components are improving as the economy re-opens, also as expected.

Racism…

I will confidently say that the great majority of Americans are opposed to racism of any kind against any fellow American. What is and has been fueling racism in our country? The party formerly known as the Democrats. That party died with JFK, since then liberalism, progressivism, globalism and the like have consumed the party platform.

For minorities, look at the shape Democratic-controlled cities are in, THAT is deplorable, a sin. Amidst the riots in which our country is now engulfed, Democratic-controlled cities are demanding the dissolution of their law enforcement services. If you think the current riots are anarchy, wait until there are no police to respond to murder, rape, theft, vandalism etc.

Since the Great Society of LBJ, trillions of taxpayer dollars have been funneled to politicians in inner cities, presumably to cure the ills of those cities. What has improved aside from the lives of the politicians? The money is gone for sure but the plight of the inner cities, if anything, has worsened. The reality is, Democrats constantly accuse Republicans of doing what THEY are in fact, doing.

So, how do we stop racism? Stop electing Democrats, that simple, or at least let’s have term limits. Politicians are elected to serve the community for a term or two, not for a lifetime (this is true of ALL politicians, regardless of party). As I said in last week’s view, Democrats require a permanent under-class, dependent on them for promises they make but do not keep, in order to retain power.

Election Season

Well, it is election season once again. The leftists are out in force, rioting, looting, murdering, burning, de-facing, the United States flag disrespected. They burn our flag, ban the Confederate flag, tear down Confederate statues, vandalize monuments. This is our history and it is a good history. Have mistakes been made? Certainly, but this country’s history trumps any other for freedom, goodness, charity and opportunity on the planet. That the leader of the House of Representatives is OK with all of this is a total disgrace, Pelosi is a disgrace, Schumer is a disgrace. They are all a disgrace.

As an American citizen, how do you want our country to move forward for you and your family:

SECURE BORDERS? OPEN BORDERS?
MORE GOVERNMENT? LESS GOVERNMENT?
A STRONG MILITARY? A WEAK MILITARY?
LESS TAXATION? MORE TAXATION?
LESS GOVERNMENT REGULATION? MORE GOVERNMENT REGULATION?
FAIR TRADE AGREEMENTS? QUID PRO QUO TRADE AGREEMENTS?
PROPER CARE FOR OUR VETERANS? DON’T CARE FOR OUR VETERANS?
MERIT BASED IMMIGRATION? THE SHIT WE HAVE NOW?
RESPONSIBLE HELP FOR THE POOR? THROW MONEY AT THE PROBLEM?
TEACH AMERICAN HISTORY TO OUR CHILDREN? ERASE AMERICAN HISTORY?
RESPECT OUR FLAG? DON’T GIVE A SHIT?
SAY THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE IN SCHOOL? WHAT IS THAT?

I will track these campaign promises and will check them off as each is accomplished adding those I have missed as they become apparent. This is quite an agenda and will be difficult to achieve all in one term, but I believe the American people are behind him and know these things need to be done. Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….
