Small Business Owners Less Optimistic

Small business owners less optimistic about the economic outlook, appear to be paring back capital spending and hiring. The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Small Business Optimism Index fell 1.6 points to 103.1 in August.  Wells Fargo

US Drill Rigs Running Down Last Week

There were 898 drill rigs running in the US last week, down six from the previous week. In Canada, drill rigs dropped by three to 147.

US Raw Steel Production at ACUR 78.8% 

In the week ending September 7, 2019, US raw steel production was 1,835,000 tons at an ACUR of 78.8 percent. Thus far this year mills have produced prox 67,148,000 tons compared to the prox 64,589,000 tons produced in the like period last year.

9/11: Never Forget

On Wednesday 9/11/19 we remember the fateful day, 18 years ago in 2001, when the United States was brutally attacked by radical Islamist Muslims. We mourn and honor those who lost their lives on that day and the and the injured who passed in the days to follow. We salute, praise and honor our first responders, the men and women of our fire and law enforcement services, individuals who ran into the fray to save their brothers and sisters. Never forget this happened, never forget who did this.

A Slowing Economy Worldwide

Yes, world economies have slowed. Yes, the American economy has slowed. The geniuses on the left are screaming (unwarranted), recession, recession. A recession will come, yes, but it is not imminent. We are enjoying low interest rates, very low unemployment, rising wages, less government regulation and a host of other good economic news. What they will not tell you or qualify their statements with is the following: What happens when President Trump is finally successful in negotiating FAIR trade agreements with our trading partners? I do not believe this is a question of IF, it is a question of WHEN. Yes, this trade war hurts now but sacrifices in the short-term will be quickly out of our memories when world trade is FAIR to all. The United States does not take unfair advantage of our trading partners, but over the years we have allowed our trading partners to take advantage of us. It is time to end this nonsense.

Gavin Newsom’s Pushback

Is anyone paying attention to what the idiot governor, Gavin Newsom, is doing in California? This guy is living on a different planet, or it seems different to him behind his gated walls, in his taxpayer funded governor’s mansion with his armed guards, limos, airplanes, helicopters and all the rest. I mean, there is no common sense, no sense of reality…but that describes today’s Democratic party, does it not?

As an American citizen, how do you want our country to move forward for you and your family:

RESPONSIBLE HELP FOR THE POOR? THROW MONEY AT THE PROBLEM?
TEACH AMERICAN HISTORY TO OUR CHILDREN? ERASE AMERICAN HISTORY?
RESPECT OUR FLAG? DON’T GIVE A SHIT?
SAY THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE IN SCHOOL? WHAT IS THAT?

I will track these campaign promises and will check them off as each is accomplished adding those I have missed as they become apparent. This is quite an agenda and will be difficult to achieve all in one term, but I believe the American people are behind him and know these things need to be done. Now, if he can get our legislators to support him instead of fighting him….
